4 Dimensional Development is what we call our project management methodology — planning leads to perfection!
From Discovery onwards, full use would be made of Web Sight’s Clientview facility (www.clientview.co.uk). This allows the online viewing, reviewing and testing of all stages of the development in a password-protected area on one of Web Sight’s test web servers.
The Definition Phase is of the utmost importance as it ensures that the client’s full input is received before the detailed specification is agreed.
1D: Discovery - confirmation of specific requirements, client’s business objectives, visitor base, technology requirements, preliminary definition of the structure, navigation, functionality and content.
2D: Definition - design work, final definition of the structure, navigation, functionality and content of the site based on Discovery. It is only after this thorough process that we proceed with building the site.
3D: Development - final design, build, and program the actual site as agreed in the Definition Phase. Includes extensive testing and client reviews.
4D: Deployment - delivery to the Web in a planned manner and after careful testing. This process ensures that the client’s specific business requirements are communicated to the development team with a clear focus on objectives.
